Women Investors Power Dubai’s Real Estate Sector with AED118 Billion in 2024.

Dubai’s real estate sector continues to flourish, with women investors playing an increasingly vital role in its growth. In 2024 alone, women contributed AED118 billion to the market through more than 50,979 property transactions, according to Majida Ali Rashid, CEO of the Real Estate Development Sector at the Dubai Land Department (DLD).

Women now account for 34% of all real estate investors in Dubai—a significant indicator of their growing influence and commitment to long-term, stable investments. Rashid highlighted that women’s strategic vision and leadership capabilities are positioning them as key drivers in shaping the future of Dubai’s property landscape. This aligns with the broader goals of the D33 economic agenda and the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033, both of which aim to strengthen the city’s economic and social fabric.

To build on this momentum, the DLD is focusing on policies designed to support women investors. These include investment incentives, advisory services, and efforts to enhance women’s representation in leadership positions across the sector.

Among the initiatives launched to empower women are the Real Estate Empowerment Programme, which has drawn over 1,000 women into the sector, and the Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme, which has significantly increased female participation in brokerage roles.

The Dubai Land Department is also working to create a more flexible investment environment. This involves offering tailored financing solutions, specialized training programmes, and support for women-led entrepreneurial ventures.

Beyond their role as investors, women are central to family decision-making and financial security. Recognizing this, the DLD has introduced awareness initiatives to boost women’s confidence in making strategic real estate choices, helping them contribute to both family stability and Dubai’s continued growth.
