Wynn Resorts is doubling down on Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island. Following the success of its flagship $3.9 billion integrated resort-currently under construction and slated to open in early 2027-the company and its partners have earmarked land for a second integrated resort on the island.

Expansion Plans on Al Marjan Island
According to a shareholders’ agreement filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Wynn Resorts, RAK Hospitality Holding, and Al Marjan Island LLC have designated a “Second Integrated Resort Plot” spanning 593,870 sq ft of existing land, plus an additional 892,306 sq ft to be reclaimed from the sea.
If developed, Wynn or an affiliate would retain exclusive gaming operator rights, further strengthening the brand’s foothold in the Gulf.
The filing also references additional parcels, including:
The “Janu Plot”
Luxury Hotel and Apartments Plot
A broader “Land Bank”
These indicate a much larger, long-term vision for Wynn’s expansion in Ras Al Khaimah.
Wynn’s Flagship Resort: Opening 2027
The flagship Wynn Al Marjan Island resort is already taking shape. Once completed in 2027, the landmark development will bring:
1,542 rooms and suites
22 luxury villas
Retail promenades
A 7,500 sq m events centre
A world-class spa and theatres
The Gulf’s first legal casino
At the heart of the project is a 300-metre-high tower—set to be one of the tallest structures in Ras Al Khaimah.
Construction Milestones
Launched in 2023, construction has already passed the halfway mark. Structural works have reached the 26th floor, with interior fit-out works underway. The project is being developed through a strategic partnership between Wynn
Resorts, Marjan, and RAK Hospitality Holding.
This bold move not only positions Ras Al Khaimah as a new global luxury destination but also underscores the emirate’s ambition to transform Al Marjan Island into a hub for entertainment, hospitality, and tourism.
